People will line up along Route 411 in Sevierville on Saturday with their yard sale goods.
The bi-annual 10-Mile Yard Sale is scheduled for tomorrow, April 26 from 8am until 3pm. The sale usually starts near the Sevier Rescue Squad building and heads eastward on US-411 (Dolly Parton Parkway) for 10 or so miles towards Newport. Large groups of vendors can be found set up at Sevier County High School, Walgreens (corner of US-411 and SR-416), Foothills Furniture and Groceries & More. However, don’t miss the many yard sales just off the beaten path in residential neighborhoods lining the route.
In years past, the10-Mile Yard Sale has drawn thousands of shoppers, some from as far away as North Carolina.
The weather promises to be sunny, but it will be a cool 50˚ in the morning and reach a high of 80˚ by mid afternoon so dress accordingly.
Please drive carefully. Traffic becomes congested; people park vehicles along the shoulder, reducing visibility and often dart across the busy highway when shopping sales on both sides. If you must drive US-411 for reasons other than the yard sale, please allow plenty of time to reach your destination or seek an alternate route such as Old Newport Highway to detour around the event.
If you want to make it through the entire 10-Mile Yard Sale, set out early. Happy bargaining!
