Memorial Day 5K Benefits Students and Veterans

Charities are the real winners in Sevier County High School’s Memorial Day 5K race.

Sevier County High School DECA is hosting the First Annual Memorial Day 5K on May 26, 2014 with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project® and the Sevier County High School Foundation.

Participants can sign up online. The entry fee for adults is $25 before May 21, 2014, $30 after that date. High school students and Veterans receive a $5 discount. Those who sign up before May 22, 2014 are guaranteed to receive a goodie bag and T-shirt, while supplies last to those signing up later. Children can enter for just $10, but do not receive a T-shirt.

“Sevier County High School DECA could not be more proud to support our Veterans through the Wounded Warrior Project and our students through the SCHS Foundation!” said Josh Ramsey, Sevier County High School DECA President. “This event is a 5K Walk/Jog/Run for all who wish to support our Vets and local students.”
