Kraft American Singles Cheese Recall

Check your refrigerator for Kraft American Singles cheese as there is a recall of certain lots because they have the potential make people sick.

Kraft Foods Group announced today the company is recalling select varieties of Kraft American Singles Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product after learning an ingredient supplier failed to store an ingredient used in the cheese according to Kraft’s temperature standards.

“While unlikely, this could create conditions that could lead to premature spoilage and/or food borne illness; therefore, the company is issuing the recall as a precaution,” Kraft Foods Group said.

Kraft produced the product at its Springfield, MO manufacturing facility and shipped it nationwide.

The cheese recall includes 7,691 cases of 12 oz., 16 oz. and 64 oz. Kraft American Singles. Refer to the chart for product UPC codes and best by dates. Consumers can determine if a package of Kraft American Singles is affected by the recall by locating the “Best When Used By” date on the bottom of the product package.
