Shades of the Past Brings Car Show Lovers to Pigeon Forge

People who love hot rods, customs and classic cars will cruise into Pigeon Forge next weekend for one of the biggest car shows of the year.

The Shades of the Past Hot Rod Roundup #32 will be held at Dollywood’s Splash Country on Friday, September 5th and Saturday, September 6th, 2014. Over 2800 cars will be on display at the car show, along with 150 automotive vendors selling new and used parts.

Car show participation is open to all types of vehicles model year 1972 and older. The registration fee is $60 and includes two adult car show passes as well as a chance to win a 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster. Registration is on Thursday from noon until 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Spectator admission is $10, children under 12-years-old admitted for free. Gates open each day 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Parking is available in the adjacent Dollywood parking lot “F” for $10 per day with transportation by tram to Gate #2, or park for free across the street on Veterans Blvd. and ride the free bus to and from Gate #1. Trolleys will also convey people between the free parking at Pigeon Forge Municipal Parking Lot on Teaster Lane and Gate #2 for a charge of 50 cents per person each way.
