Motorcycle Ride to Benefit Pets Without Parents Shelter

A motorcycle event on Saturday will raise money for a local animal rescue.

Greysons Rescue Ride, a motorcycle benefit ride to support animal rescue, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 with proceeds donated to Pets Without Parents in Sevierville, Tenn. and Apollo Support & Rescue of Fort Worth, Tx.

Rhonda March Raines of Pigeon Forge organized Greysons Rescue Ride in honor of her dog Greyson, who suffered a horrific injury as a puppy and ended up in the caring hands of Texas based Apollo Support & Rescue. The rescue began a campaign to raise funds for the puppy’s veterinary care. From half way across the country, Raines saw Greyson’s story and adopted him. The facebook page for her dog Amazing Greyson has nearly four thousand fans.

Amazing Greyson Before & After

“Friends, this is why this ride is such an honor for me to do,” said Raines. “This is what rescue is all about. Giving a voice to the voiceless, hope to the hopeless, & a home to the homeless. Please come and participate in this benefit ride.”

Greyson will be at the event to meet and thank all the participants.

Greysons Rescue Ride begins rain or shine on Saturday morning, 10:30 a.m. at the Hard Rock Café in Pigeon Forge with a breakfast. Motorcycles will depart at 12:00 p.m. and ride through Wears Valley and Townsend to the Smoky Mountain Harley Davidson (The Shed) in Maryville where event activities continue. Riders will travel to the final destination, The Barker Lounge in Sevierville, at 4:00 p.m. for a barbeque dinner and auction.

Pets Without Parents will have great adoptable pets at the event.

Registration is $20 per bike. Bike not required… cars welcome too! For more information visit https://www.facebook.com/Greyson.ASR
