New and Expectant Parents Invited to a Free Baby Shower

Healthy Families East Tennessee is hosting a free baby shower for new and expecting first-time parents.

Parents are invited to come enjoy a baby shower with free food, door prizes and car seat giveaways from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 at the King Family Library, 408 High Street in Sevierville. Everyone in attendance will receive free items that every new parent needs. Vendors will also be present to offer helpful information and resources.

Healthy Families East Tennessee is a child neglect and abuse prevention program that provides education and support to first-time parents. The program places emphasis on child medical check-ups and immunizations; early brain development, stimulation and developmental screenings; school readiness; and family planning. Healthy Families East Tennessee is a service of the Helen Ross McNabb Center, a not-for-profit provider of behavioral health services.
