Start your holiday shopping early at a Holiday Bazaar this weekend that will raise money for a local ministry making burial gowns for families suffering the loss of a baby.
A Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Old Smoky Mountain Jubilee Theater in Pigeon Forge will benefit Angel Wings Memory Gowns. Vendor booths will sell a variety of handcrafted products, Christmas ornaments, jewelry and other great gift merchandise. There will be fun and games with prizes for kids, including a bounce house, face painting, corn hole and train rides. Admission to the Holiday Bazaar is free.
Angel Wings Memory Gowns is a not-for-profit volunteer ministry in which seamstresses repurpose donated wedding gowns and formal dresses into burial gowns for babies who never make it home from the hospital. Jennifer Jones, of Gatlinburg, started Angel Wings Memory Gowns in July of this year after learning there was no such service available to grieving families locally. She and a team of volunteers now provide gowns to a number of local hospitals and funeral homes at no charge to the families.
Old Smoky Mountain Jubilee Theater is located at 2115 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN (across from the Titanic Museum).
