TWRA App for Sportsmen & Sportswomen Allows Game Check-In and More

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) has developed an app for mobile devices that allows outdoor enthusiasts to keep up with the agency on the go.

TWRA On the Go is a free app for Android and Apple smartphones and tablets that allows the user to access news and regulations from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, as well as perform license renewal, game check-in and use other handy tools.

  • TWRA’s latest news through the RSS Feed.
  • Get fingertip access to Tennessee’s Fishing, Boating and Hunting & Trapping Guides.
  • Buy licenses, renew boats, and report and see harvests online!
  • A sunrise/sunset tool to know when sunrise and sunset is in your neck of the woods.
  • Find a WMA, Check Stations, Hunters for the Hungry Processors, Fishing Spots, Boat Ramps and Wildlife Viewing Areas near you (and even get directions)!
  • Upload your favorite trophy to the TWRA’s online Trophy Room.

The 2014 muzzleloader and archery deer hunting season is open now through Friday, Nov. 21 across Tennessee. Gun season opens Nov. 22, the Saturday before Thanksgiving and continues through Jan. 4, 2015. Use of muzzleloaders and archery equipment is also legal during gun season. The TWRA On the Go App allows licensed hunters to easily check-in deer harvested during the deer hunting season using the app, instead of at a check station or through the website.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency developed the app in collaboration with One Click Outdoors. It was released in November 2013.

TWRA On the Go is available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
