Titanic Museum Holding Thanksgiving Evening Event with Fireworks

The Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge will kick off the 2014 holiday season with a spectacular fireworks display on Thanksgiving.

Residents and visitors in town for Thanksgiving holiday can experience a fireworks show at the Titanic Museum Attraction honoring the lives and legacies of the ship’s passengers, crew and rescuers on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.

“This will be our 3rd annual music, fireworks and snowfall fantasy festival to be held outdoors at the Titanic Museum Attraction,” says museum co-owner Mary Kellogg Joslyn. “This year promises to be even more spectacular with new fireworks displays, enchanting snow fall from the ship’s bow, more than 1,500 dramatic luminaries lighting a red-carpet pathway to the exciting, holiday appearance of Titanic’s own Fantasy Princess.”

The Night of Nights will be orchestrated to the sounds and voices of Christmas, with the ship’s crew on board to host the event and to welcome all the ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls in attendance. This special night heralds the arrival of a new holiday season of thanksgiving in Pigeon Forge, and throughout the evening, the lives and legacies of all those who sailed on the RMS Titanic will be glorified in the flickering lights of over 1,500 candle-lit luminaries.

“This is a very exciting, once-a-year event that all of us at Titanic have been looking forward to, and now it’s almost Showtime. So, bring your cameras and get ready for some breathtaking photo opportunities with our Fantasy Princess, distinguished crew, holiday lights, magical snowfall and the largest fireworks display of the year on the Smoky Mountain Parkway. To make the evening even more memorable, young ladies are encouraged to wear their princess costumes for a personal photo with our Fantasy Princess,” invites Kellogg-Joslyn.

At the conclusion of the outdoor holiday production, visitors can purchase tickets to continue the Night of Nights yuletide celebration inside the museum attraction. Here, Titanic’s merry crew will be waiting to take guests on an imagined, Gilded Age, Christmas holiday crossing aboard the incomparable RMS Titanic.
