Lumberjack Feud hosts Climbing for Hope to benefit Mountain Hope Good Shepherd

Local police and fire departments will compete against each other in lumberjack sports at the Lumberjack Feud during Climbing for Hope, a fundraiser benefiting Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic.

Lumberjack Feud in Pigeon Forge will host the third annual Climbing for Hope on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015. In preparation for the competition, police officers and firefighters have been training alongside real ESPN lumberjack athletes from the Lumberjack Feud Dinner Show. Guests at the event will be served by celebrity servers, including Whitney Kent from WVLT Channel 8, and enjoy a special performance by the Darrell Webb Band and music by Taylor Kress. There will also be great items available in a silent auction.

Proceeds from Climbing for Hope will go to Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic in Sevierville which provides medical and dental care to more than 19,000 local residents and workers who have no health insurance.

Climbing for Hope doors open at 4:30 p.m. Guests can choose seating in the section of their favorite celebrity server. Seating is limited, so advanced purchase of tickets is recommended. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. For more information or to buy tickets, call 865-771-9114 or visit www.mountainhope.org.
