Night at the Derby to Benefit United Way of Sevier County

A derby-themed event on Friday will raise money for the United Way of Sevier County.

A Night at the Derby, presented by the Comedy Barn Theater, will be held 6 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Conner-Short Center (CAPE) on the Walters State Community College campus in Sevierville. Proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Sevier County.

The evening will feature delicious derby food, cold beverages, live entertainment and “Funny Money” horse betting. Fabulous trips to destinations such as Italy, Hawaii, Florida Keys, San Francisco, Ashville and the 2015 CMA Fest in Nashville will be up for auction.

Dressing in Derby style is fun but optional. If you are in need of a Derby hat, Sassafras in The Old Mill District is offering a 30% Off Derby Hats with a coupon on the Night of the Derby Facebook page.

Tickets to the Night at the Derby are $50 per person and can be purchased by calling (865) 430-5727.

The Conner-Short Center (CAPE) is located at 1720 Old Newport Hwy. in Sevierville, Tenn.
