Forum to be held for Pigeon Forge Commission Candidates

The public will have the opportunity to learn about the Pigeon Forge Commission candidates at an event Tuesday.

The Pigeon Forge Hospitality Association is hosting a Meet the Pigeon Forge Commission Candidates forum on April 14, 2015 at the MainStay Suites Conference Center in Pigeon Forge. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Candidates Bill Howell, Kenny Maples, David Wear and Leland Wykoff are all vying for the two Pigeon Forge City Commission seats up for election. Except for Howell who declined to participate, each of the candidates will answer questions regarding views on tourism and development, and their future goals if elected. They will be available for one-on-one discussions with members of the community.

PFHA President Pam Smith will kick off the event at 5:30 p.m. by giving a welcome address and then reading each of the candidate profiles.

WVLT’s Kyle Grainger will moderate the forum segment in which candidates will have 3-5 minutes to respond to a series of prepared questions and also answer questions from the audience.

The MainStay Suites Conference Center is located at 410 Pine Mountain Rd. in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
