LeConte Announces New Chief Nursing Officer

LeConte Medical Center is pleased to welcome Jennifer DeBow, RN, BSN, as Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer. DeBow is transferring to LeConte from Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, where she serves as the Cardiovascular Service Line Director, and brings with her over 21 years of professional nursing experience including critical care and cath lab nursing leadership roles.

DeBow’s professional excellence has been recognized through receiving multiple Covenant Health performance excellence awards, including the silver quality award, the gold service award, and most innovative project award. She is also the 2002 recipient of the Peggy Gilbertson Award for clinical excellence presented by nursing leadership at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center.

Jennifer DeBow, RN, BSN, named Vice President/Chief Nursing Officer at LeConte Medical Center.

DeBow cites some of her most recent professional accomplishments as participating in the recertification of the Cardiac Diagnostics Echocardiography Laboratory, coordinating with the architect and hospital administration to relocate cardiology unit to a different floor, participating in the process of developing and implementing Mission Lifeline in conjunction with Rural Metro and local facilities, and coordinating efforts with sister facilities and physicians to implement the collection and submission of data to the Society of Thoracic Surgeons Database for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft patient populations.

DeBow received her B.S. in Nursing from East Tennessee State University, and will complete her MBA from ETSU in September.

DeBow is the proud mother of her children ages 16, 14, and 9. A resident of Seymour, DeBow is excited to join the team at her community hospital on May 4, 2015.
