Sevier County Plans Memorial Day Program

A Memorial Day event in downtown Sevierville will honor those who died while serving in the U.S. military.

The Sevier County Memorial Day event will be held 11 a.m. on May 25, 2015 at the Sevier County Courthouse. Tom Munson, chaplain with the Disabled American Veterans, Smoky Mountain Chapter 94, will be the guest speaker. He is a Vietnam Veteran and cancer survivor whose story aired on the radio broadcast “Unshackled!” The event will also feature music by Christian Academy of the Smokies and a Fly-Over by the Warbirds of America Tennessee Squadron.

The event is organized by Sevier County Veterans’ Services.
