Traffic Signal at Ernest McMahan and SR 416 Active Soon

The busy intersection of Ernest McMahan Road and SR 416 in Sevierville will soon have a new traffic signal.

According to the Sevierville Public Works Department, the traffic signal at the intersection of Ernest McMahan Road and SR 416 (Old Newport Hwy. / Pittman Center Road) will be operational soon. Weather and other conditions permitting, the traffic signal will begin flashing yellow on SR 416 in the next three to five days and remain flashing until approximately June 30, 2015, when it will then become fully operational. The purpose of the flashing yellow period is to alert motorists to the presence of the new traffic signal.
