Stages West in Pigeon Forge Closed after Fire

The popular western store Stages West is closed after suffering significant damage from an early morning fire on Thursday.

The Pigeon Forge Fire Department responded to a fire call for the Stages West retail store located at 2765 Parkway shortly after 4 a.m. on Aug. 6, 2015 and had the fire extinguished before 6:30 a.m., preventing the fire from spreading to any nearby businesses. The 15,000 sq. ft. building suffered extensive smoke and water damage to all three floors. Part of the roof also collapsed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.

The Stages West retail store in Pigeon Forge will be closed until further notice and is unable to process website orders at this time.

Residents and visitors to the area hope this much-loved western store reopens quickly.

“Thank you to our terrific Pigeon Forge Fire Department and our many friends who have rallied around us during this time,” said owners Steve, Stephen and Marlene Houser. “The store will remain closed, and we will be pausing online orders until we fully assess the damage. We will keep you updated once we know more. Thank you for your continued support! We wouldn’t be here without you. We thank God for His hand of protection.”

A family owned business, Stages West caters to those who enjoy the cowboy couture lifestyle and in addition to its selection of western clothing, boots, hats and accessories, features live performances from up and coming country artists such as Sarah Darling on its stage.
