Pumpkin Painting Contest to Benefit Smoky Mountain Children’s Home

Margaritaville Island Hotel will be hosting the first annual Pumpkin Painting Contest on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 at 5 p.m. Children will have the opportunity to use their creativity, painting & decorating skills to design special pumpkins for $5 each. All proceeds will be donated to the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home of Sevierville, Tenn.

The Pumpkin Painting Contest will be one of the many fun activities held in conjunction with The Island’s Halloween Festivities, which include a costume parade & contest, rides and trick or treating throughout The Island.

“Last year, we saw a large number of children and families come through the hotel during the Halloween Festivities. We want to create a fun activity the kids will enjoy that will also benefit the children served by the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home,” comments Kris Harmon, hotel General Manager.

Smoky Mountain Children’s Home serves as home to over 200 combined residential youth and foster care children. The Smoky Mountain Children’s Home depends on donations each year to house, clothe and feed the less fortunate of our society.

In addition to the Pumpkin Painting Contest, Margaritaville Island Hotel and the new St. Somewhere Spa will be providing candy to all trick-or-treaters throughout the evening.
