The Sevier County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed the Fastop Market in Seymour at gunpoint today.

According to Sheriff Ron Seals, his office received a 911 call at about 11:45 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015 reporting an armed robbery at the Fastop Market, 10623 Chapman Hwy. in Seymour, Tenn.

A store clerk told officers who responded to the call that a black male, wearing gray and black athletic pants with a blue hoodie sweatshirt, visited the store at about 11 a.m. in the morning to redeem lottery tickets. The same subject returned to the store less than an hour later and came to the counter to make a purchase, but when the cashier opened the register, the subject reportedly displayed a handgun and grabbed cash from the register drawer. He left the store and fled the scene in a red compact car.

The robber is described as a black male in his early 20’s, of slim build and medium height. These photos were taken during the suspect’s first visit to the store. During the armed robbery, the suspect covered his face.
