SMARM Holding Coat Drive, Will Offer Free Winter Coats in Sevierville

If you need a winter coat, jacket, scarf, hat or gloves for yourself or someone in your family this season, you may receive one for free at an event this month in Sevierville.

Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries will hold its annual free Winter Coat Day from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015 at Treasures From the Heart thrift store in downtown Sevierville to distribute free winter coats, jackets, scarves, hats and gloves to those in need.

The organization is currently holding a Coat Drive to collect new or clean, gently used coats for the event. Bring donations to the thrift store between 10 – 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and tell the associates they are for the free winter coat day event. For donations of a large number of garments, please wait until the week of the event.

Treasures From the Heart thrift store is located at 230 Court Ave. in Sevierville, Tenn.
