Christ Museum & Gardens Collecting Food Donations at Christmas Open House

This holiday season, remember the “Reason for the Season” and take the time to experience “The Greatest Story Ever Told.”  Christ Museum and Gardens will extend their hours and “Deck the Halls” on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 with an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. All Sevier County residents and those working in Sevier County will be admitted free to see the museum. Please think of the less fortunate and bring a canned food item or two for the Sevier County Food Ministries.

Special candlelight tours of the museum, dioramas, and displays are being offered for a one of a kind experience this year. A special indoor lights display in our patio prayer gardens, where the “Face of Christ” sculpture resides, will feature twinkling lights and lighted angels. Refreshments of hot cider and cookies will be served.

Beginning at dusk, Christ in the Smokies award winning outdoor lighting displays can be enjoyed until 10 p.m. nightly. This year’s display called “That’s what Christmas is all about” features the characters from Peanuts in biblical robes as they present the birth of Christ. See Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Sally, Peppermint Patty, along with Woodstock and Snoopy and his doghouse, a great photo opportunity for the entire family.

We are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day except for Christmas. For more information, please call 865-436-5155.

Christ Museum & Gardens is located at 510 River Road in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
