Early Bird Registration for Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival

Early bird registration for the 5th Annual Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival is going on now through Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016. Those who register during the early bird period will have their name entered into a drawing for a chance to win three nights lodging during the festival held August 24-28, 2016.

The event, now in its fifth year, not only offers over 100 free concerts to music lovers who want to come and hear their favorite songs performed by the musicians who originally wrote them, but also provides aspiring artists and songwriters the chance to participate in co-writing events, songwriting workshops and critiquing sessions with hall of fame songwriters for a small fee.

“Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival is a one of a kind event offering aspiring songwriters an opportunity unlike any other,” said Chuck Winstead, festival coordinator. “The workshops give attendees the chance to work with songwriters who have written some of the biggest hits of all time in many different genres of music.”

The 2016 Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival will feature a Song Competition with first, second and third place prizes in seven different music genres. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a premier demo session with Beaird Music Group in Nashville plus a $500 prize.
