Sevierville Police Arrest Kodak Man for Robbing Local Hotel

Sevierville police say they have arrested the man responsible for allegedly robbing a hotel in Kodak on Monday.

35-year-old David Allen Rizzo, of Kodak, Tenn., was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery of the Comfort Inn Suites on W. Dumplin Valley Road in Kodak on Monday, Feb. 2, 2016.

According to a police report, the hotel manager and desk clerk were in the back office when a white man wearing a coat and ball cap entered and demanded money. The suspect pulled a knife and ordered the male desk clerk to lay on the floor, and the female manager to get the money from the cash drawers. He then fled with $1,250 cash in red or maroon Chevrolet Malibu Maxx.

Police said Rizzo was arrested on Thursday evening without incident and is cooperating with detectives. He is being held in the Sevier County Jail on $50,000 bond.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
