Sevierville Launches New Permits and Licensing Website

The City of Sevierville has announced a new permitting process and website.

The website will allow users to submit and track permits online rather than traveling to a designated permit office. Frequent customers are encouraged to setup their accounts now by visiting www.mygovernmentonline.org and selecting “Permits and Licensing.”

Contractors and residents will have the ability to:

  • Apply and pay online for permits
  • Submit plans, surveys and documents “paperless” in PDF Format
  • Track application progress up to permit issuance
  • View and print copies of letter documents received from Sevierville any time
  • Request inspections online
  • View and print completed inspection reports
  • Receive real-time e-mail notifications when an inspection is completed

Download a copy of the My Permit Now Portal Instructions for steps to create an account and use the website. Anyone who needs help setting up an account can call 1-866-957-3764.

“The new electronic permitting process will make it easier for contractors and residents to not only submit permit requests, but also to track the progress of their applications,” said Pam Caskie, Sevierville Development Director. “Our goal is to streamline and improve all aspects of the permitting process.”

The City also plans to provide a computer kiosk station at City Hall for contractors and residents who do not have access to a computer.

Please note that any documents required with an application, such as floor plans, site plans, surveys, etc. must be uploaded in PDF format when submitting your application.

When requesting inspections online, the policy will remain that you must submit your inspection request prior to 3 p.m. to have an inspection performed the next business day. Our inspectors will enter inspection results in the field to ensure you will receive your inspection result via e-mail or through the customer portal in near real-time.
