Gatlinburg Police Kids’ Camp to Feature Firearms Safety, Whitewater Rafting

The Gatlinburg Police Department will hold its annual Kids’ Camp Monday, July 25 to Friday, July 29, 2016 at the American Legion Building in Gatlinburg. The action packed week includes bike and firearms safety, alcohol and drug awareness, presentations by K-9 and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency officers, self-defense and violence response, physical-fitness obstacle course and team building exercises, whitewater rafting and lots of good food!

Sponsored by Gatlinburg Community Police Programs, the camp is open to children 9 to 13 years old. Lunch and snacks are provided daily. Parents wishing to register a child can drop by the Gatlinburg Police Department to pick up a registration application. For more information call 865- 436-1421.
