Youth baseball and softball teams that participate in the National Sunglasses Day Essay Contest could win free sunglasses from Under Armour Eyewear for every player on their team.
Under Armour Eyewear, the leader in performance sunglasses, is proud to announce an exclusive partnership in honor of National Sunglasses Day on June 27th with Ripken Baseball. This collaboration highlights Under Armour’s commitment to providing professional-quality, impact protection frames, specifically designed for young players, with lenses that block 100% of the sun’s harmful UVA/B/C rays.
Under Armour Eyewear and Ripken Baseball will sponsor a national essay competition for youth baseball/softball teams between the ages of 8 – 12 years. Teams will be invited to submit a one-page essay detailing the importance of eye protection in order to SEE LIKE AN ATHLETE. Once the essays are received, 10 teams will be selected to win Under Armour Youth sunglasses for the entire team roster.
“The Ripken Baseball organization is the ideal platform for Under Armour Eyewear to highlight the importance of young athletes protecting their eyes from harmful UVA/B/C rays. Our innovative performance styles provide them with the safety and eye protection they need to be better, healthier players,” said Scott Betty, senior vice president of Product and Marketing for Under Armour Eyewear. “Everyone at Under Armour Eyewear is committed to providing the highest quality performance eyewear product for the next generation of athletes.”
