Florida Woman Charged with Prostitution in Sevierville

Police say a tourist visiting Sevierville was soliciting for sex and now faces prostitution charges.

Officers from the Sevier County Street Crimes Unit arrested 38-year-old Jamie L. Boyle, of Orange Park, Fla., and charged her with Prostitution and Promoting Prostitution as a result of an undercover sting on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016.

According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals, Boyle was visiting the area and soliciting for sex using a local webpage while she was here. Undercover officers made contact with her and arranged a meeting at a local motel in Sevierville, where she allegedly solicited the officer for sexual acts.

Boyle is being held in the Sevier County Jail on $7,500 bond and has a hearing scheduled for Sept. 7, 2016 in General Sessions Court.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
