Smoky Mountain Children’s Home will host its Annual Fall Harvest Benefit Auction and Dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016 at the campus’s Moffett Dining Hall in Sevierville. This year the event is shaping up to be a unique experience that will astound the audience with the unleashed talent of international artist Paul Murray performing on stage and the exquisite auctioneer talents of Todd Thompson. During the evening dinner, the audience will watch multiple paintings come alive in minutes, as Murray’s brushes become a symphony of magical color & soul. Incredible feats choreographed to remarkable music. Entertaining? Yes! Then the paintings will be auctioned to benefit Smoky Mountain Children’s Home in the purchase of new carpet for their dining hall.
The evening will then give way to the sounds of auctioneer Todd Thompson as he takes bids on large ticketed items, such as an officially autographed boxing glove by Muhammad Ali; autographed guitar by Taylor Swift; Bahama Cruise; print of the cast of Downton Abbey signed by all the stars; print of the cast of Star Wars Episode 7 signed by all the stars; autographed Carrie Underwood photo; and a signed photo of Johnny Cash. All of this is taking place while a silent auction is proceeding in the background involving many items contributed by local merchants.
All proceeds from the Fall Harvest Benefit Auction and Dinner will benefit Smoky Mountain Children’s Home to help re-carpet their Moffett Dining Hall, the second phase in refurbishing the 27-year-old facility. Tickets for the event are available at Smoky Mountain Children’s Home and Ogle Furniture in Sevierville for $35 each. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for the silent auction, and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. during the live performance of Paul Murray. Moffett Dining Hall is located on the grounds of the Home for Children located at 449 McCarn Circle in Sevierville.
