Halloween Trick or Treat Events Planned in Gatlinburg

Family fun, games and candy are in store for those attending Halloween trick or treat events in Gatlinburg.

The Gatlinburg Recreation Department will present the third annual Halloween Spooktacular on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 in Mills Park. Families can Trick or Treat in a safe and friendly environment along the walking trail at Mills Park. Local organizations and businesses will provide fun games, activities and of course, lots of treats. The event will run 5 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Recreation Department staff will teach and lead a group dance during the Spooktacular as part of an initiative by the Sevier County Health Improvement Council to encourage families to increase their physical activity. Students from Caton’s Chapel, Pittman Center and Pi Beta Phi Elementary schools will be participating. The group dance is at 5:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

On Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure will host the 9th Annual Trick or Treat Kick Off Karnival from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. on the Plaza outside Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. Families are invited for fun, games, prizes and candy. Proceeds benefit the United Way of Sevier County.
