Jefferson County Inmates On the Run, Suspects in Sevierville Armed Robbery

Four inmates escaped from the Jefferson County Work House early this morning and two are suspects in an attempted armed robbery of a convenience store in Sevierville.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, four inmates identified as 22-year-old Jimmy Dave Lee Moore, Richard Coty Lorenz, 26, Adam Quinn Lethco, 24, and Matthew Robert Porter, 27, assaulted deputies and escaped from the Jefferson County Work House on Industrial Park Road in Dandridge at about 12:15 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016. Using keys taken during the assault, the inmates fled in a deputy’s vehicle that may have had a gun inside. The vehicle was found abandoned in Sevierville.

Lorenz and Moore have been captured and taken to the Jefferson County Justice Center.

Lethco and Porter remain at large and the Sevierville Police Department believes they are responsible for an attempted armed robbery of the EZ Stop at 851 Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville just before 5 a.m., but they fled the scene before police arrived.

Lethco is 6′ tall, weighs 150 lbs. and has blond hair and blue eyes. He is serving an 8-year sentence for aggravated burglary, theft, and vehicle theft.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
