Santa and More Than 300 Santa’s Helpers in Gatlinburg for Santa Family Reunion

A Parade of Santas and other events will be held in Gatlinburg during the Santa Family Reunion this weekend.

Santa is coming from the North, coming from the South, and coming from the East and the West. But how can this be? Everyone knows the real spirit of Santa Claus resides at the North Pole, but from March 17-20, 2017 Santa will hang his hat in Gatlinburg! More than 300 of Santa’s helpers will be heading to the Gatlinburg Convention Center for the Santa Family Reunion. The event is the largest gathering of its kind in the Southeastern United States.

“Debra Ann and I look forward to all the wonderful people and events that will be a part of the Santa Family Reunion,” said Sherri Heath. “Gatlinburg is such a charming and warm community, it is no wonder why Santa and Mrs. Claus chose it as the place for the Reunion.”

Many unique events are planned including special workshops on Santa and Mrs. Claus, an industry trade show full of Santa related items, and even a fashion show! Santas will compete to see who has the fastest sleigh as they barrel down the mountain, snow tubing at Ober Gatlinburg. The agenda is full of fun and informative activities! And of course, what would a Santa Convention be without a grand parade – The Parade of Santas! Everyone loves a parade! Stepping off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 18 in downtown Gatlinburg, the procession will include hundreds of Santas, Mrs. Claus and local units from the surrounding area. Rumor has it the REAL SANTA will be there also! Children of all ages will enjoy the atmosphere and the Christmas cheer as the parade jingles down the street.

The Santa Family Reunion is being produced and coordinated by Team Leaders Sherri Heath of Michigan and Debra Ann Gabrelcik of Minnesota. Both ladies have been active in the greater Santa and Mrs. Claus community for years. Together with their team members, the Santa Family Reunion promises to be one JOLLY EVENT!
