Park Seeks Food Service for Great American Eclipse at Clingmans Dome

Great Smoky Mountains National Park will issue one Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) authorizing a temporary food and beverage operation at Clingmans Dome parking area during the August 21, 2017 Great American Eclipse event. The park is expected to shuttle approximately 1,600 people to Clingmans Dome for the day to participate in eclipse activities and presentations. Under the CUA, the permittee will be authorized to provide food and beverages to park visitors in attendance.

The selected vendor will be responsible for providing all equipment and supplies necessary to conduct the operation on site. A detailed operations proposal is required for review along with the information outlined in the CUA Application for Solar Eclipse Food Service packet.

In order to be considered for selection, completed applications, fees, and supporting information must be received by the park no later than April 24, 2017. The National Park Service will review all applications received by this closing date and select the best qualified applicant to conduct the food service operation by the end of May 2017.
