Sevierville Police Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

Police are searching for a man who committed an early morning armed robbery of a Sevierville convenience store.

The Sevierville Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect seen on video surveillance robbing J’s Market, located at 1297 Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville, at gunpoint about 6:30 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017.

According to detectives, the store’s surveillance cameras recorded a white Nissan Pathfinder park near the front door. A white female came into the store and asked to use the restroom. The female then left the store and a black male entered the store, demanding money while pointing a shotgun at the clerk. Video surveillance shows the Nissan Pathfinder leave, traveling westward, while the armed suspect was still inside the store. The suspect punched the clerk in the face and fled the store with the money, heading west.
