Celebrate National Ice Cream Day with Old Forge Ice Cream Inspired Spirits

If you are looking to beat the summer heat with a refreshing ice cream cocktail or celebrating National Ice Cream Day, a line of ice cream inspired spirits from Old Forge Distillery are a sweet treat.

Old Forge Distillery in Pigeon Forge has released five cream-based spirits inspired by flavors found at the nearby Old Mill Creamery and Candy Kitchen. The new Old Forge Creams flavors include: Haystack, a cream with hints of coconut, Peaches & Cream, Orange & Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream and Root Beer Float.

“We’re always looking for new innovative spirits and wanted to add a sweeter cream spirit to our line-up,” said Head Distiller Keener Shanton. “We’re seeing a trend of ice cream brands infusing spirits into their products and bartenders mixing up ‘boozy’ milkshakes, so our cream line was a natural next step.”

Presented at 34 proof, Old Forge Creams are made with a rum and cream mixture that’s tastefully blended with flavors which will rotate in and out as the seasons change. The creams can be mixed in cocktails, poured over ice, or enjoyed in coffee.

These spirits are also perfect for ice cream cocktail recipes. Try them for National Ice Cream Day on July 16, National Root Beer Float Day on August 6, or National Creamsicle Day on August 14.
