KaTom Invites Community to Celebrate 9th Year on Inc. Magazine List

The folks at KaTom Restaurant Supply have a lot to be thankful for this season, having recently added a ninth straight year on Inc. magazine’s list of the country’s fastest growing companies to the year’s accolades.

The list is based on growth percentage over three years, with KaTom recording revenue expansion of 73 percent during that time period. The company’s stretch of receiving the recognition puts it into rarefied company and has earned it a hall of fame designation from the publication.

The Kodak-based restaurant and home kitchen supplier was also recognized this year as one of the nation’s 50 fastest-growing woman-owned companies and the 19th-largest company in its industry, up four spots from last year. All that has provided a little extra reason for Founder, President, and CEO Patricia Bible and others at KaTom to celebrate this holiday season.

“At this time of year especially, as we gather with family and friends to count our blessings, we give thanks for the foodservice dreamers around the country who continue to make us part of turning their dreams into reality,” Bible says. “The focus of our business remains providing personalized service for the mom-and-pop operators who drive the American economy and feed us all. We work every day to help them be successful and they honor us with their trust.”

The company is inviting the community to join in celebrating the past year’s successes with a series of Christmas dessert demos every Saturday until Christmas in its retail space, Chef Supplies by KaTom. Knoxville cooking legend Barbara Tenney, who has published four cookbooks and is part of a regular feature on WBIR-TV, will prepare treats for sampling and provide recipes for those who want to make them at home. The delicious demos will include fruitcake cookies (December 9), hot toddy pecan bars (December 16) and almond cookies (December 23).

“These events are our way of thanking the people of East Tennessee who have supported us through our first 30 years,” Bible says. “We want to invite everyone in to enjoy some of Barbara’s delicious creations and get a look at what we provide restaurants around the country and the world.”

KaTom is located just off Interstate 40’s Exit 407 up the hill from the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World. For more information about the events, call Chef Supplies at 1-865-225-1559 or visit www.katom.com.
