Elderly Woman Assaulted Outside Sevierville Convenience Store

Sevierville police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a man who assaulted an elderly woman in the parking lot of a convenience store on Thursday night.

According to the Sevierville Police Department, officers responded to a reported assault at the Pilot, located at 1257 Parkway in Sevierville, at about 11:20 p.m. on March 8, 2018.

A male suspect allegedly struck a 67-year old woman in the head with a plastic toy gun as she was walking from her vehicle to the Pilot store. The suspect fled the area in a silver Toyota 4 Runner.

Emergency services transported the victim to LeConte Medical Center with what appeared to be a non-life-threatening head injury. Nothing was apparently stolen from the victim.

The suspect is described as a slender male wearing a maroon or red hoody, camo pants, and red/white shoes.
