Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle Thursday Morning in Sevierville

A car struck a man that was crossing Veterans Boulevard in Sevierville on Thursday.

According to the Sevierville Police Department, the crash was reported at about 8:19 a.m on March 15, 2018. Officers responded and determined that 28-year-old Abraham Rauchwarg, of Asheville, N.C., was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry southbound on Veterans Boulevard near Collier Drive and struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road.

The pedestrian, identified as 41-year-old Jason Johnson, of Cosby, Tenn., was transported to University of Tennessee Medical Center. His condition is unknown.
