Works by Sevier County Artists on Exhibit at Arrowmont

An art exhibition featuring works by Sevier County artists and craftspeople is underway at Arrowmont in Gatlinburg.

The 17th Annual Sevier County Biennial Juried Exhibition is open now through March 14, 2015 at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts Galleries in Gatlinburg. It is open to the public and admission is free.

Only adult residents of Sevier County, Tenn. were eligible to enter their original works in the juried, mixed media exhibition. This year, 142 works were submitted for consideration. Sherry Masters, owner of Art Connections in Asheville, N.C., acted as show juror. She selected 103 works from 56 individual artists based upon distinctive design and craftsmanship for inclusion in the art exhibition and chose thirteen recipients of awards of recognition, merit and media. Exhibition sponsors selected purchase award recipients.

Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts is located at 556 Parkway in Gatlinburg, Tenn. The exhibition is displayed in the Sandra J. Blain Gallery and is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
