SmartBank Opening Branch on Dolly Parton Parkway

SmartBank announced plans to open a fourth Sevier County branch location this fall.

The new Smartbank Sevierville branch will be located at 710 Dolly Parton Parkway.

According to Billy Carroll, SmartBank President and CEO, the existing building will be renovated to reflect the SmartBank brand, incorporating a warm and inviting atmosphere, including the use of teller pods as opposed to the traditional teller line.

“The pods create a more open feel removing the barrier between the client and financial services representative,” said Carroll. “The majority of SmartBank’s branches utilize the pod concept which we introduced to the brand when opening our first office over 10 years ago.”

Carroll explains the pod concept has been a trend in consumer banking for the last several years quickly becoming the new normal for what’s expected in retail bank lobbies.

“The lobby will also feature large wall graphics representing familiar area landmarks and a fully stocked coffee bar with bottled water and fresh fruit available for clients,” said Carroll “the new branch will also feature a 3-lane drive-thru, in addition to a dedicated ATM lane.”

SmartBank initially opened its doors in Sevier County at the Pigeon Forge branch in 2007. The bank has since expanded its operation to include 26 branches and four loan production offices spanning Tennessee, Alabama, and the Florida Panhandle.

“Sevier County will always be home,” said Carroll. “This is where we planted our first seeds and our roots run deep in this county. We are very excited to open a fourth branch here to serve our loyal client base. We have been fortunate to grow and expand to a number of new markets around the Southeast, but our home will always be in Sevier County.”

SmartBank received final approval from the Federal Reserve and is on track to open the new branch this fall.
