Police Investigating Vehicle Hit by Bullet in Sevierville

Sevierville police say a bullet struck a motorist’s vehicle traveling on Winfield Dunn Parkway Monday afternoon.

Officers responded to a call just after noon on July 23, 2018 to find a bullet had shattered the rear driver’s side window of a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck while it traveled southbound on Winfield Dunn Parkway in the area of River Lane. No one was injured in the incident.

A bullet was recovered from within the truck. Detectives are investigating the incident, but have not determined if the shooting was an accident or a deliberate act.
