Sevier County Humane Society Holding Clear the Shelters Event

For this year’s Clear the Shelters event, the Sevier County Humane Society is giving area dogs a second chance at life by offering $45 adoption for select dogs on Saturday, August 18, 2018. Adoption fees are normally $125 for dogs and $150 for puppies Fees cover the first set of vaccinations for dogs (2 sets for puppies), spay/neuter services, de-worming, microchip, rabies vaccination and heartworm testing for dogs over 6-months.

An off-site adoption event for the special will be held at PetSense in Sevierville. Dogs and cats will also be available for adoption at the Sevier County Humane Society primary location at 959 Gnatty Branch Road in Sevierville. Additional cats will be available at PetSense and PetSmart in Sevierville.

The Sevier County Humane Society was founded in 1974 as the first animal shelter in Sevier County. It is a private, 501c3 organization governed by a volunteer board of directors operating solely on community support and contributions.
