Ripley’s Tennessee Attractions, including Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and Guinness World Records Adventure, donated $50,000 worth of school supplies to the Greenbrier Teacher Depot.
“I am absolutely delighted with the large amount of school supplies that Ripley’s has recently donated to the Greenbrier Teacher Depot. The Depot opens its doors each semester to the public school teachers of Sevier County so that they can select an array of needed supplies to use in their classrooms. The supplies provided by Ripley’s will certainly have a positive impact on the teaching and learning environment experienced by our students and teachers. Ripley’s serves as a great example of the positive power of a partnership between the Sevier County School System and a local business. Thanks to Ryan DeSear and Ripley’s for the outstanding contribution!” said Dr. Jack A. Parton, superintendent of Sevier County Schools.
In the past, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies and Ripley’s Tennessee Attractions have proudly partnered with many organizations to raise money, supplies and give back to the community.
“This is something we have been doing for over 20 years, raising over a million dollar and necessities for specific charities in the area. We couldn’t do this without the help of our guests who visit our attractions each year. We want our visitors to enjoy visiting our family-fun attractions and take pride in the fact that their visit is also providing funds and assistance to schools, animal rescue, marine life, conservation efforts, organizations that help people in need, special needs, children charities and more.” said Ryan DeSear, regional and general manager of Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies and Attractions.
