Smoky Mountain Firefighters Foundation Plans HOTSHOTS 5K to Benefit Local Fire Departments

In honor of National Firefighters Day on May 4th, Smoky Mountain Firefighters Foundation is hosting its first annual HOTSHOTS 5K in Pigeon Forge.

The HOTSHOTS 5K will start at 8 a.m. on May 4, 2019 at the Pigeon Forge Community Center. Runners and supporters are invited to come out and meet local firefighters on race day.

Two ways to show your support of local firefighters and HOTSHOTS 5K:

Visit https://smokyfirefighters.org/shop/ and choose

Option 1. Register to Run the HOTSHOTS 5K and get an official event Racing Shirt
Option 2. Buy an official event Racing Shirt, wear it on May 4th in your hometown and post a selfie on Facebook with #hotshots5k2019

Smoky Mountain Firefighters Foundation is a registered 501c3 Charitable Organization whose mission it is to support firefighters that risk their lives to keep us safe, fire departments and burn centers. The organization will donate 80% of proceeds from HOTSHOTS 5K to fire departments in Sevier County. The remainder will support teen driving safety programs and administration costs.

HOTSHOTS 5K is the organization’s inaugural event. A Christmas project for children of fallen first responders is also being planned.
