Voter Registration to Participate in Upcoming Sevier County Election Ends Soon

Sevier County residents who wish to vote in the next Sevier County Election must register to vote online, in person or by mail before the deadline.

The State of Tennessee Presidential Preference Primaries, Sevier County Democrat & Republican Primaries, and Nonpartisan School Board Election will be held March 3, 2020. Voter registration closes 30 days prior to the scheduled election, so voters must register by February 3, 2020. Changes of address must also be filed 30 days prior to the scheduled election.

To be eligible to vote in Tennessee:

  • You must be a citizen of the United States.
  • You must be (18) years of age or older on or before the date of the next election.

  • If you have been convicted of a felony, your eligibility to register and vote depends upon the crime of which you were convicted and the date of your conviction. If your conviction made you ineligible, you may regain your eligibility if your conviction has been expunged or if you have had your voting rights restored, unless you were convicted of a crime that rendered you permanently ineligible to vote. How to register to vote in Sevier County

  1. Register to vote online at https://ovr.govote.tn.gov/
  2. Register in person: Sevier County Election Commission office – 1145 Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville, Tenn.
    • Register of Deeds (inside the courthouse) – 125 Court Ave., Suite #209W in Sevierville
    • County Clerk (inside the courthouse) – 125 Court Ave., Suite #202E in Sevierville
    • Sevier County Public Libraries
    • Local post offices
    • Sevier County Health Department – 719 Middle Creek Rd. in Sevierville
    • Department of Safety and Homeland Security – 1220 Graduate Dr. in Sevierville
    • Department of Human Services – 815 Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville
    • Sevier County high schools
  3. Register by mail. Print out the Registration Form. Form must be postmarked by February 3, 2020.
