Sevierville Cancels 2020 Bloomin’ Barbeque & Bluegrass Festival

Fans of the annual Bloomin’ Barbeque & Bluegrass festival in Sevierville will have to wait until 2021 for the next event, as the 2020 festival is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bloomin’ Barbeque & Bluegrass, with its barbeque contest, Mountain Soul vocal competition and free bluegrass concerts, was scheduled for May 15-16, 2020 in downtown Sevierville. However, the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce announced the event is cancelled.

“We wanted nothing more than to enjoy some great music and delicious food with you during this May’s Bloomin’ Barbeque & Bluegrass festival,” the announcement said. “Unfortunately, the ongoing situation surrounding COVID-19 means it’s just not possible right now.”

“But here’s the good news. The music (and food) will go on next year. We’ve worked with our amazing entertainers, sponsors, and vendors to move the whole event to next year’s dates, May 14 & 15, 2021.”
