Sevierville Police Search for Family Dollar Armed Robbery Suspect

A man allegedly used a gun in the robbery the Family Dollar store in Kodak on Friday, the second armed robbery of a Winfield Dunn Parkway business in two days.

According to the Sevierville Police Department, a man reportedly entered the Family Dollar, located in the Food City shopping center at 2946 Winfield Dunn Parkway in Kodak, about 3:30 p.m. on April 26, 2019 and demanded money from the clerk as he displayed the top of a black handgun that was in his pocket.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 6 feet tall with a slender build and unshaven, wearing pants and a long sleeve lime green shirt. Police say he fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money and then got into a silver passenger vehicle, possibly a 1990’s model Infinity J30.

Sevierville Police Search for Family Dollar Armed Robbery Suspect

The Shell Fastop, located at 1855 Winfield Dunn Parkway (Highway 66) in Sevierville, was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday.

Police do not believe the same person is responsible for both robberies.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of either armed robbery suspect is asked to contact SPD Detective Preston Parrish at 865-868-1750.All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
