Man Arrested for Riding Motorcycle on Sevierville Greenway

A local man is facing charges of reckless endangerment after he allegedly rode a motorcycle on a Sevierville Greenway and nearly struck pedestrians.

Sevierville police officers responded to complaints of a man riding a motorcycle on the West Prong Greenway on Monday, April 22, 2019 at about 1:41 p.m. Witnesses told police that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and had almost struck some walkers.

“While investigating the alleged incident officers located the suspect, 19-year-old Jacob Andrew Pritchett of Sevierville, Tenn.,” according to SPD Lt. Matt Nicol. “Pritchett was subsequently charged with reckless endangerment and transported to the Sevier County Jail for booking.”

Use of motorized vehicles on any Sevierville Greenway or walking trail is forbidden.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
